RIG was contracted as a partner to Dresser Rand (a Siemens Company) to perform oil flushing services on a Turbodyne Steam Turbine.
The unit was located at a Kinder Morgan Power Generation Plant in West Texas. During the flushing activities RIG’s project manager identified plugging issues and leaky seals on the system coolers. RIG worked with DR to remove the coolers and transport to RIG’s facility in Pearland Texas. RIG removed the bundles, chemically cleaned the tubes, hydrolazed the shells, replaced all the gaskets, flushed the oil side, pressure tested the bundles and transported back to the facility without the site experiencing any delays in their turnaround.
